DEADLY COLLISION BETWEEN TRAILER AND DOZER IN HOUSTON

The collision of heavy-duty equipment and vehicles is one of the horrible yet common incidents. When people neglect the safety measures, these kinds of events occur that take lives that can never be compensated.
Recently a deadly incident was reported in North Loop East, Houston in which a tractor-trailer collided with a dozer and other vehicles on the road. The Houston police department noticed the incident and started an investigation. The town is still in shock and grief following the crash, which happened on Wednesday, May 8, at around 3:40 p.m.

How did the incident happen?

A thorough report of the accident that happened at the 6900 block of North Loop East (North Interstate Highway 610 East) was given by Sergeant L. Le and Officer S. of the Houston Police Department’s Vehicular Crimes Division.
The incident started, according to preliminary reports, when a red Mazda 3 suddenly changed lanes in front of an 18-wheeler trailer. The abrupt lane change caused the Mazda to strike the 18-wheeler’s left front side. The truck driver lost control of the vehicle due to the accident, causing it to fall into the center concrete barrier. The trailer was specially designed to carry equipment like crawler dozers for sale. It got detached from the trailer and slid into the North Loop East’s eastbound lanes due to the intensity of the impact. The dozer struck a grey Ford F-150 pickup vehicle and a red Ford Mustang that were both heading east, starting a catastrophic chain reaction. The uncontrolled dozer struck a concrete barrier on the way and eventually stopped.
